Text Box: Seasons Greetings 1998!!

We hope this finds you well. This year has kept us busy enough with work that the year simply flew by.

Last December 28, Steve and I finally tied the knot. In April we decided it was time to start working on creating a family. I am due Mid-February.

In May we took a trip to Italy. We vacationed for a week spending 4 days in Roma and 2 in Venezia. In Roma we toured many ruin sites, some dating back to time before Christ. During this self guided tour we climbed 4 of the 7 hills of Roma. While in Venezia we took the ferry to Murano, “The location” of the world famous Venetian glass. This took us out of the English speaking area. Following verbal directions given in Italian, we went to find the home of Dino Tedeschi. He is a Glass Master and renowned maker of glass tools. Steve was able to purchase several tools from him on the spot and ordered several others. We spent a good hour or two “chatting” with Dino and his wife. (They speak no English and we speak very little Italian.) It was fun.  And lets not forget, while we were there, we did take a gondola ride.

Unfortunately work has kept me extra busy since the beginning of April. Chemcentral has been short one person in my department. This has left me to cover the spot and too tired to do any genealogy this year, much to my dismay. I can’t use this as my only excuse though. Because of the pregnancy, I have been very tired.

As this year draws to a close, we look forward to our first anniversary and the count down to the arrival of our bundle of joy (estimated due date is Feb. 15).
